The History of Biobizz
Biobizz has been on the market since 1992 and is one of the leading soil and nutrient companies for eco-friendly plant cultivation. The company first started out in Holland and after expanding relocated to Spain. They also have sites in England, France and North America.
Biobizz manufactures potting soils, liquid fertilisers and substrate enhancers. All of the products are 100% biological, used by growers in over 64 countries around the world to grow healthy, organic, high-yielding plants.
Their philosophy is simple:
“To be ecologically aware and make the organic cultivation of crops accessible for everyone, without leaving behind any negative impact on the environment.”
Biobizz Organic Certificates
Biobizz produces 100% organic products.
What is the difference between organic and mineral nutrients? To put it simply, mineral nutrients feed your plants directly. While organic nutrients feed your substrate and then the substrate feeds your plants.
Non-organic nutrients are based on mineral elements. When you use them you need to make sure the pH is in specific value, so that the mineral nutrients crystals can dissolve and feed the plants. For this you don’t even need soil, just water.
When it comes to organic nutrients, they are made from natural ingredients usually derived from living organisms. When you mix organic nutrients with water, there is no need to check or adjust the pH, but you need to make sure you have microlife. Organics rely on the microflora in the substrate to “digest” the nutrients and give it to the plant in a form that can be uptaken.
Currently, Biobizz holds a total of seven organic certificates.
